When
he opened EIA in 1999, Benjamin Efran had one goal in mind:
to find Oregonians low-cost health insurance — and find
it for them for free.
It was a simple but ambitious idea, and from it Efran Insurance
Associates has grown to become one of the state's leading insurance
agencies.
For years now we have been giving free insurance guidance to
individuals, families and local businesses, guaranteeing them
comprehensive health plans that are a fraction of the cost of
other providers.
We have been able to make good on that guarantee because of
our in-depth understanding of the state's insurance regulations
— and because of our connections with the state's strongest
insurance providers.
Those connections allow us to get our clients specialized packages
from formidable companies, including Fortis, Blue Cross, PacifiCare,
Providence, Lifewise and Kaiser Permanente.
At EIA, we vigorously maintain our independent status.
That independence means we're not beholden to any of the insurance
companies we work with. Instead, we find our clients the
best plans for their needs, regardless of where those plans
come from.
A long-time resident of Oregon, EIA's founder Benjamin Efran
graduated from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He
ran a real estate business in Portland before establishing Efran
Insurance Associates.
Today he serves as president and head of agency operations.
